In order to reach thousands of computer professionals at the Siggraph convention in Los Angeles, Intel turned to EMC for some creative outdoor. A team of brand ambassadors with Intel branded Coffee backpacks were stationed on the main pedestrian routes to the convention center to intercept attendees on their way to the show.

Complete with branded cups and napkins, the team helped attendees wake up, and also helped drive traffic to the Intel booth.

During the afternoon hours, as the day heated up, the team switched to lemonade to provide a refreshing break for attendees walking back to their hotels through the LA heat.

At EMC we are always looking for fun & creative new ways to reach your audience - wherever they are. Contact us to find out more.

Boost Mobile was on hand to reach the huge crowds in Miami for Super Bowl XLIV. Boost used a variety of media to reach the mobs of fans that descended on south Florida, including Scooters, Walking Billboards, and Mobile Billboards.
By using mobile media, Boost was able to cover not just the big game itself, but also many of the surrounding concerts, parties, and NFL activities that were occurring over the course of Super Bowl weekend.

Scooters were deployed in caravans, and with backlit kiosks they could provide both day and nighttime coverage. The scooters could easily move to places where the crowds were heaviest, and could even move with other vehicular traffic right up to the stadium entrance.

The walking billboards gave Boost the ability to walk right into the middle of the crowds, allowing them to engage fans, and distribute promotional materials.

Finally a mobile billboard supplied large format signage that could be used in support of the other media, or deployed to cover other events on its own.

This combination of mobile and guerrilla media meant that Boost could cover a wide variety of locations and events over Super Bowl weekend, and interact with the legions of fans that came to Miami to see the game.

When Hansen's Natural Soda wanted to promote their "Hansen's Loves San Francisco" Online Photo Contest, while also exposing Bay Area residents to their brand, they turned to EMC for some fun and exciting guerrilla OOH to make a big splash in the city by the bay.

The contest encouraged residents to show their love for both Hansen's and San Francisco by taking a photo with them, their friends, family, and their Hansen's somewhere in the San Francisco Bay Area — showing off its natural beauty, landmarks, or their favorite spots. The photos could then be uploaded to the contest website.

The Hansen's team consisted of 3 Brand Ambassadors, driving a pair of wrapped Smart Cars, and a wrapped van traveling throughout the San Francisco Bay area to popular and crowded locations where they could stop, set up shop, and start distributing free samples of Hansen's while informing the public about the contest — and even taking pictures for people and uploading them directly to the contest.

Because the team was mobile and completely self-sufficient they were able to quickly move from place to place through the market, and selectively target locations with high levels of foot traffic. This created spontaneous events around some of San Francisco's most iconic and popular locations like the Golden Gate Bridge . . .

Fisherman's Wharf . . .

The Marina District . . .

Lombard Street . . .

And local street festivals . . .

With the team traveling to such a wide variety of locations it meant that they were able to meet and engage with the full cross section of San Francisco residents, from young . . .

to older demos . . .

to college students . . .

From Giants fans on their way to the game . . .

to Newlyweds on their way to the reception . . .

From Bikers (both kinds) . . .

to surfers . . .

to one very enthusiastic skateboarder . . . who we thought was way cool!

The team even made sure to keep the local police officers and fire fighters refreshed . . .

Over the course of this 4-week program the team was able to engage with thousands of San Francisco residents, distributing almost 16,000 samples! The OOH campaign was also closely integrated into the promotion's online campaign, with the team posting updates on Twitter about where they were, and where they were headed throughout the day. By the end of the campaign they had almost 1000 followers.

This campaign presents a great example of how effectively guerrilla outdoor advertising can be used to reach a large area, and how it can be integrated with online and social media to create a comprehensive experience that will draw your audience into deeper brand engagement.

One great way to reach audiences at large events is with mobile media - and that's just what Boost Mobile did at two major events in downtown Chicago this summer, using these cool looking bike taxis.

The first event was the famous "Taste of Chicago" festival — the world's largest food festival — held in downtown Chicago for 10 days, including July 4th weekend. This festival draws millions of attendees every year.

The bikes were strategically placed in key areas around the festival, where they provided complimentary rides to tired attendees.

During the ride the drivers were able to distribute promotional literature, and talk to the riders about the benefits of Boost Mobile's plan.

In addition to the passengers, the bikes were also seen by the huge crowds as they moved around the festival area.

A few weeks later the bikes repeated their great performance as the Lollapalooza music festival rolled into town.

Major events like the Taste of Chicago and Lollapalooza are great opportunities to reach large numbers of people in a very short time. At EMC we specialize in the full palette of Event, Traditional and Guerrilla OOH media to reach your audience no matter where they are.
In order to reach NASCAR fans at Charlotte's SPEED WEEK in a fun and engaging way, Nationwide Insurance turned to the power of non-traditional out-of-home to drive people to their “Meet Dale Earnhardt Jr.” contest registration and event.
As part of their ongoing sponsorship of NASCAR, Nationwide is offering a chance to meet the NASCAR racing legend, and promoted the contest via street teams with branded inflatables and some very cool branded bikes.

Our goal was to drive NASCAR fans to the "finish line" — that being Nationwide's event tent. That space was complete with its own race car and the Nationwide team who was ready to register fans for the contest (and to collect valuable contact information for future use).

Teams of Brand Ambassadors, with giant inflatables floating above their heads, patrolled the surrounding blocks creating buzz and awareness about the contest. The teams were armed with “VIP Pass” style lanyards, and branded backpacks to distribute as promotional items. They also directed fans to the Nationwide registration tent.

The teams were able to get right in the middle of the large crowds of pedestrians and moved throughout the downtown area. Many fans were attracted to the large balloons and excited about the chance to meet Dale Jr.

To extend the perimeter of the event promotion even farther, a team on Bike Displays rode the surrounding blocks: following the crowds of pedestrians, engaging with fans, and creating further awareness of the contest.

To top things off the Bike Displays were even backlit, allowing Nationwide to extend their event into evening hours.

In just three days the team was able to interact with over 9000 die-hard NASCAR fans, including some who will have to wait just a little while before they need to think about insurance.
